Smiletown Books has recently aligned with the San Francisco-based nonprofit organization, Project Night Night. This charity is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children, one sweet dream at a time. Project Night Night provides children with educational objects and objects of reliable comfort in order to advance their cognitive and emotional well-being. To that end, Project Night Night donates individual tote bags, each filled with age-appropriate books, a baby blanket, and a stuffed animal in an effort to help homeless children sleep better while in the shelter system.  Click here to learn more about Project Night Night.

In 2006, Project Night Night distributed over 10,000 Night Night Packages, collectively containing over 40,000 comfort items. Project Night Night has become a leading provider of nighttime comforts for homeless children and was selected by San Francisco Magazine as “Best Children’s Charity 2006.”
