Smiletown Books is committed to doing good deeds in the world.

The following are just a few of the deeds Smiletown has done to help others:

Smiletown Books and Heatherwood Elementary donated a holiday tree to the 2007 Holiday Festival of Trees on December 2, 2007, to benefit children who lost their homes and belongings in the Southern California wildfires. Click here to read more about the special project.

Mrs. Evans' 2nd grade class at Heatherwood Elementary created original poems, which were made into ornaments to adorn the tree at the 2007 Holiday Festival of Trees. Click here to read the poems.

Project Night Night; San Francisco, California: Smiletown Books regularly donates books to Project Night Night, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children, one sweet dream at a time. www.projectnightnight.org

Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA); Boulder, Colorado: Smiletown Books donated a silent auction basket at the 2006 and 2007 Celebration benefits for EFAA. www.efaa.org

Impact on Education; Boulder, Colorado: Smiletown Books donated a portion of its proceeds earned at an event, held September 10, 2006, to Impact on Education, a Boulder-based organization committed to making an impact on student learning and building support for public education. www.impactoneducation.org
